IBINUNYAG ni Congressman Joey Salceda na mayroong tig-P100 milyon ang mga kongresista sa P4.1 trillion national budget para sa taong 2020.
Pero maagap na nilinaw ni Salceda sa economic briefing sa Malacañang na hindi ito pork barrel kundi para sa infrastructure projects sa bawat distrito.
Mula sa P100 milyon, P30 milyon dito ay ilalaan sa soft projects ng mga kongresista gaya ng medical assistance.
“75, 100… ang alam ko po diyan, to ensure na everybody has some minimum, 100 yes. But that’s basically 70 million ng infrastructure and they were itemized in the NEP. Well, there is no such thing as no itemized expenditure,” ani Salceda.
Kasabay nito tiniyak ng kongresista na maaaprubahan ang 2020 proposed budget sa Setyembre 20.
Ito aniya ang pinakamabilis na pambansang budget na maaaprubahan sa kasaysayan ng Kongreso.
“So the 2020 budget, I’m sure will be approved by September 20. The earliest approved budget at the House in history. So it is—since nakuha namin po iyon August 20, matatapos po kami sa House, September 20; so why September 20, because we got it on August 20. This is in history for those of you who have covered Congress, this will be the earliest,” dagdag pa ni Salceda.
Sana lang aniya ay ganito rin ang gagawin ng “Duterte Super Coalition” sa Senado. (Aileen Talipinga/Abante)
