54 MILLION WORTH, NG MISDECLARED NA ASUKAL NASABAT NG BOC.

PORT OF MANILA - Dahil sa patuloy na paglaban sa smugglers,ng Boc muling nakasabat ng tinatayang aabot sa P54 na milyong piso ng  Korach-conditioned Refined Sugar.

Na una ng idiklarang  steel, tex screw, clamp, nails and hardware fittings  ang laman ng 48, containers. 

Nabatid na dumating ang contrabando ng asukal mula Agosto hanggang Setyembre ngayong taon na naka consigned sa  RZTREC and TRACLEF Trading.    

Samantala paglabag sa Section 1400 in relation to Section 117 of the CMTA and Republic Act No. 10845 otherwise known as Anti-Agricultural Smuggling Act of 2016. 

At Section 3 of Republic Act No. 10845, the crime of large-scale agricultural smuggling as economic sabotage, involving sugar, corn, pork, poultry, garlic, onion, carrots, fish, and cruciferous vegetables, in its raw state, or which have undergone the simple processes of preparation or preservation for  market, with a minimum amount of one million pesos (P1,000,000.00), or rice, with a minimum amount of ten million pesos (P10,000,000.00), as valued by the Bureau of Customs (BOC), is committed through misclassification, undervaluation or misdeclaration upon the filing of import entry and revenue declaration with the BOC in order to evade the payment of rightful taxes and duties due to the government. 

Sa taong ito tinatayang aabot sa  P314.506 million worth of misdeclared goods o katumbas ng 17.28% mataas kumpara sa 268.161 million sa nakaraang taon ng 2018.(Thony Arcenall)
