OLONGAPO CITY - Pupils of New Cabalan Elementary School and Boton Elementary School welcomed SM Olongapo Central volunteers for the turnover of toy bears under the “Bears of Joy” project of SM Supermalls. A total of 474 donated toy bears were given away to the schools. Both schools were very thankful to SM for their initiative.
SM City Olongapo Central Asst. Mall Manager Ariel Ferrer spearheaded the distribution of “Bears of Joy” to chosen pupils of New Cabalan Elementary School and Boton Elementary School.
“This is the first time that Boton Elementary School became a recipient of such a wonderful project, thank you SM and thank you to those who partake in this project,” remarked Boton Elementary School principal Amalia M. Abayan.
Every year, SM toy bears go to the chosen beneficiaries mostly those who are abandoned kids, and kids with special needs. “The act of giving kindles self-esteem and brings happiness. The best way to start a new year is to share something to someone in need.”
